It was another cold start (-18) but it was sunny and the sky was blue and cloudless. There was no wind in the morning, but there was quite a biting wind by mid-day making it feel extremely cold.

It was a very cold start to the day (-18) but the sky was sunny, bright blue and cloudless. There was no wind, so it didn't feel as cold as it has done for the last few days. Even at 8.30am it felt warm in the sun.

By lunchtime the temperature had raised to -4 and the sun was very strong. The snow and ice was melting fast.

It had snowed very lightly again overnight but there was hardly any on the ground so the roads were clear. It was very cold this morning(-24.0) and only predicted to warm up to -17 with a wind chill of around -29. The sky was thick cloud this morning, but the sun was beginning to break through by around 9am. Like yesterday, it feels bitterly cold today.

We saw a car dealership taking a novel approach to removing snow from its vehicles this morning. They were using a leaf blower to blow the snow off - ingenious!

It had snowed lightly overnight but there wasn't a lot on the ground. It was very cold this morning (-19.0) and the wind chill was predicted to be -30 throughout the day. However, the sky was bright with a bit of white whispy cloud and the sun was shining. It didn't feel too bad in the sun, but it started to cloud over in the afternoon and really felt very cold with no sun.

It had snowed quite a lot overnight, it wasn't snowing during the drive to work, but it had started to snow again by around 9am. The sky was white, with no sun and it was considerably colder than it has been over the past few days. The road to High River wasn't bad, but there were reports of a few collisions and cars sliding off the road in and around Calgary. It snowed lightly but consistently until early afternoon, when the sun managed to come out for a while and remained bright into the evening.

There was a Snowfall warning today for Okotoks, High River, Claresholm: around 10-15 cm of snow expected by this evening. In addition, a cold dense Arctic airmass is pushing southward across Alberta.

It was a dull start to the day with a very white and snowy sky. It had started to snow lightly by 8.40am and continued to snow for a few hours. It didn't really stick though. Without the sun, it felt a lot colder today, there was quite a biting chill in the air.

A very similar day to yesterday, sunny and bright. It was quite cold still, but warm enough to contnue melting the snow and ice. Early morning it was around -11 and by noon it had warmed up to +3. Another very nice day.

It was a sunny start to the day with bright blue sky and no cloud. The snow continued to melt today, but there is still quite a lot on the ground. It was +8 in the sun by noon and there was no wind. It still felt quite cool but it was still quite a nice day.

There was a bit of light fog on the drive to work this morning but it was bright and sunny by around 9am. It felt a little cooler than yesterday, but by mid morning it had really warmed up and it was quite hot in the sun. The snow from last night has all melted and the built up ice and snow was melting rapidly.

It was a bright and sunny start to the day, with a bit of light cloud. It felt a little cooler this morning, but not freezing cold. It clouded over a bit around 1pm and there was quite a cool wind. Within the hour the cloud had cleared and the sun was shining again. The snow and ice on the ground is continuing to melt. It started to snow lightly at around 8pm, but it did not leave a lot on the ground.

It was a bright and sunny start to the day, with light white cloud. The sun was shining and there was no wind. By noon, the sun was really warm and it was another beautiful day.

Since starting the blog on 14th October 2008, it has rained just 3 times - after coming from the UK we are always amazed by how little it rains here.

It was a cloudy start to the day, but the sky was still bright. There was no wind and it didn't feel too cold. By mid day it was bright and sunny with light cloud. It was really nice and warm in the sun.

The sky was bright and sunny all day today. Despite being around -10 for most of the day, it didn't feel too cold in sun but it was quite cold out of the sun. With no wind, it was a lovely day to be outside if wrapped up warm.

The sky was brighter today, with just a few clouds and lots of sunshine. It was warm in the sun and the snow was melting quickly in sunny areas (even though it was only -4). It felt much warmer today than yesterday and the sky was bright blue and cloudless by the afternoon.

It snowed again overnight, although not much (but enough for us to have to clear the drive). The sky was white and snowy all day and we didn't really see any sun. It was quite a cold day today - you would need to wrap up warm if you were spending a long time outside.

It snowed a little overnight, but there wasn't much on the ground this morning. The local side roads were a bit slippery but the main routes had been gritted and the highway was clear. There were reports of it being quite slippery up in Calgary. The sky was white and snowy this morning with no sun. It felt cold, but not absolutely freezing. The sun did come out by mid morning and it started to melt the snow. Despite the sun, it began to feel much colder by mid-day.

It was quite a cloudy start today and a little cooler. It was ranging from -9 to -13 on the drive to work. There was a coolness in the air, but not freezing cold. A jumper and a coat is adequate outside. It was a bright and sunny afternoon but quite cold out of the sun. With the warm temperatures over the past few weeks the snow has melted considerably and roads and fields are becoming visible again.

It was a bright start with a few clouds. The sky was bright and there was a slight Chinook over the mountains. There was no wind today but it felt a little cooler than the past few days. It started to cloud over mid-morning with quite dark cloud. It snowed very lightly (not enough to log) for a few minutes before brightening up again. It was certainly starting to feel colder though.

It was a bright and sunny start with a few fluffy white clouds and blue sky. It was showing -2.3 at 9.30am and was into positive temperatures by 10.30. There was no wind today and it didn't feel cold. It felt very warm in the sun and there was a lot of melting snow.

By lunchtime, the wind had begun to pick up and it started to make it feel much colder. By early evening the wind had become quite strong and it had turned really quite cold. We also had a few snow flurries.

It was a fairly cloudy start today, with a huge Chinook Arch over the mountains. It was already 5 degrees when arriving at work, there was no wind and it didn't feel cold at all. It wasn't the brightest of days, but we did get to see some sunshine. Hopefully, the Chinook will mean warmer weather is on its way for the next few days.

Today is Groundhog Day and it is predicted that we will have six more weeks of winter. So by rights, on Monday 16th March, winter should be over - we shall see!
