It was a bright start with clear blue sky. It was only +5 first thing which made it feel quite cold. It did start to cloud over by early afternoon and it got worse as the day went on. It was a pretty cool day on the whole.

It was another dull and cloudy start to the day. It was still quite cool, but the skies did clear during the afternoon and we saw some blue sky and sunshine. Temperatures only reached around +10 and although it felt quite pleasant in the short spells of sunshine, it was generally quite cold. There was a weather watch for North of Calgary (Airdrie) that it would likely go below freezing overnight.

It was a dull and rainy start to the day and it continued to rain on and off all day. It was fairly cool too and temperatures didn't really get above +8.

It was a bright start though with clear blue sky and no cloud. It was quite cool though and only around +8 first thing. It was sunny and did warm up to around +16, but by mid afternoon a fair amount of cloud had moved in, blocking the sun and making it feel much cooler.

We had a bit of a sorm overnight, with rain and thunder and lightning. It was a bright start though with just a few small clouds. It was quite a cool start at just +9 but it did warm up to around +19 and it was very hot in the sunshine. By around 5pm there were a few more white clouds and the wind had started to pick up which made it quite a cool evening.

It was a bright and sunny start to the day. It was around +12 first thing this morning and it soon warmed up to around +28. It was another beautfiul sunny day with a clear and cloudless blue sky. The wind started to pick up during the afternoon and it was very windy during the evening, although still fairly warm.

It was a bright and sunny start to the day. Like yesterday, it started quite cool, but soon warmed up to be another beautiful sunny day with a clear and cloudless blue sky. It was around +31 by the afternoon and although there was a slight breeze, it was a very warm one making it feel very hot.

Yesterdays rain seems to have cleared the air of the smoke and it was a bright and sunny start. There was bit of light cloud but that had gone by mid-morning leaving clear blue sky. It was quite a cool start at only +8 and it did warm up as the day went on.

It was yet another very hazy start to the day but the air quality has now been upgraded from Poor to Fair. It was quite a coold day on the whole. It was around +12 by mid morning and it didn't get much warmer than that.

It started to go really dark at around 4pm and the following weather warning is in place We did get some rain but none of the hail or thunder storms, which they did get in Calgary.

Severe thunderstorm warning for: Calgary, M.D. of Foothills near Okotoks and De Winton

At 4:20 PM MDT radar indicates a severe thunderstorm over South Calgary. This storm is moving to the east at 20 km/h and has produced quarter sized hail and heavy downpours.

This is a warning that severe thunderstorms are imminent or occurring in these regions. Remember that some severe thunderstorms produce tornadoes. Listen for updated warnings.

It was another very hazy start which was blocking the sunshine. It was a fairly warm day all the same and temperatures reached around +20. We did see some sun breakthrough in some areas north of the City, but in Okotoks it remained pretty hazy.

It was a very hazy start and we could see no sunshine. This is still down to the smoke of the forest fires in BC and we can certanly smell the smoke in the air. Without the sunshine it felt quite cool and was only +14 by 10am.

It was a fairly bright start with lots of blue sky and sunshine. Temperatures rose to around +26 and it felt very hot. It was quite a hazy day and it was suggested that this was due to the forest fires in BC.

There was quite a bit of cloud this morning, but the skies soon cleared and it was blue sky and sunshine. At around 2.30pm, it clouded over and the wind really started to pick up. It started to rain quite heavily and that lasted for a couple of hours. Wind and rain continued again overnight.

It was bright and sunny start with virtually no cloud. Temperatures were around +14at 8.30am and it felt cool, but pleasant. It was quite a breezy day and the breeze made it feel very pleasant as the temperatures rose to around +27. It was very hot out of the breeze though.

We currently have a Severe thunderstorm watch for most of Southern Alberta, including: Calgary, Okotoks, High River & Claresholm

Severe thunderstorms possible for this afternoon and evening.

This is an alert to the potential development of severe thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds.

Strong thunderstorms are possible this afternoon into the evening as Alberta still remains under an unstable and humid airmass. Thunderstorms will develop along the foothills and move quickly off to the northeast. The main threats with these storms are locally heavy downpours, large hail, and strong gusty winds.

We did get a brief storm with some very heavy rain at around 6pm. It cooled down overnight and we had another couple of showers.
