The sky was white this morning with no sun which made it quite a dark start to the day. This picuture, which shows snow covering the ice on the lake, was taken at 8am. There wasn't a great deal of snow on the roads and most of the main routes had been gritted. The cold wind and no sun made it feel very cold this morning. The cloud did break and the sun did shine in the afternoon, but it remained very cold.
