It was a sunny start with a nice blue sky and a few white fluffy clouds. By around 9.30am the temperature was in positive figures. There was a cool breeze but not cold. By early afternoon it began to cloud over and became much colder and by early evening it had started to snow lightly. As the evening went on, conditions got worse and the wind was really picking up. By around 11pm it was snowing and there was a very strong wind blowing. With the snow and blowing snow, visibility was very poor.
