We were quite shocked to wake up to snow this morning. It was a very grey and overcast sky with no sunshine. It was +1 on the drive to work. The roads were clear, but there were reports of slippery conditions much earlier on. By around 10.30am most of the snow had melted away. It still felt quite cool at mid-day and it took until around 5pm before the cloud finally started to clear and the sky began to brighten.
This Weather Warning has been issued today:
The unseasonably cool conditions are expected to persist for the next few nights. Skies are expected to gradually clear this evening resulting in the significant potential for frost overnight into Thursday morning.
