There was a bit of light cloud cover this morning, but it was very bright and sunny. It was +8 at 8.30am and although there was a strong Chinook wind blowing, it still felt quite warm. It was +10 at noon, but the wind was very gusty.

We have the following wind warning for most of southern Alberta including:
Calgary, Okotok, High River, Claresholm, Airdrie, Cochrane, Olds, Sundre

Strong west to southwest winds of 80 gusting to 110 km/h have developed in the Crowsnest Pass and Cardston regions. These winds have slowly spread east and north through the day today. Winds will increase to wind warning criteria by early evening in the Lethbridge region and for areas near and in Calgary. Wind speeds will be slightly lower the further one moves away from the Rockies. The winds will ease below warning criteria late this evening as the direction becomes more northwesterly.
