It was a fairly overcast and windy start to the day and it was only +10 by 10am, so much cooler than it had been. It started to rain at around 2pm which continued well into the evening. It felt OK in the morning but the wind throughout the afternoon made it feel quite cold.

There are weather warnings all over the northern part of southern Alberta, but does not currently include Calgary and Okotoks.

Rainfall Warnings: Airdrie, Cochrane, Olds & Sundre

Upwards of 100 millimetres of rain for some areas by tonight.

A low pressure system near Lloydminster this morning continues to produce significant rainfall amounts over Central and Southern Alberta today. Stettler has reported over 70 millimetres of rain since Monday evening. A further 40 to 60 millimetres of rain is forecast for parts of Southern Alberta through tonight.

This system is also producing strong wind gusts up to 90 km/h in areas east of Red Deer. Gusts should be intermittent and are expected to diminish later today as the system weakens.
