It was a bright, sunny & warm start to the day. It was quite hot and temperatures reached around +22. It clouded over a bit in the afternoon and it looked as though it might become quite stormy, but nothing materialised.

We did get a thunder shower late in the evening at around 10.30pm.

Severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening.

This is an alert to the potential development of severe thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds.

A cold front through Southern Alberta will combine with an upper level impulse crossing the Rocky Mountains to produce thunderstorms in Southern Alberta. The most intense thunderstorms are expected to be in the Medicine Hat, Coronation and Brooks region and could produce a tornado.
